GENERAL RESOURCES

OCU SGA is developing a new resource for student organizations. The  Student Organization Handbook features fundraising ideas, event coordinating tips, and who to contact for promotion. The handbook will be updated monthly and distributed at the next Prexie Club meeting.

In order to help us better serve you, we need to be made aware of your organization’s new leadership following new officer elections. This handout will show you how to update your organization’s information.

FUNDING

Registered Student Organizations may participate in a twice yearly (Fall and Spring) process known as allotments. RSO presidents submit budget requests for the following semester. Organizations must attend Prexie Club to learn more about the application process. The Secretary of Finance partners with the Senate’s Appropriations Chairman and selected organizational presidents to review budget requests and decide funding amounts.

Organizations may also speak with any senator to request funding for the current semester. Please request funds at least 3 weeks in advance (see information here) to allow for processing. Upon passage and after being signed by the President, Dee Llanusa will coordinate the transfer of funds to your organization’s account.

Requests for less than $100 cash from an organization’s account (that is funds an organization already has) can be accommodated by a petty cash voucher. Please make arrangements with Dee Llanusa to receive the voucher.

EVENT RESOURCES

OCU uses the MySchoolBuilding system to reserve rooms and coordinate any addition resources you might need for the event. The following document contains instuctions for logging into MySchoolBuilding and passwords needed.
